Union Minister Chirag Paswan emphasises need to minimise wastage & leverage technology to drive sustainability

Union Minister of Food Processing Industries, Chirag Paswan, today emphasised the need to minimise wastage and leverage technology to drive sustainability in line with the vision of Viksit Bharat. While visiting the ongoing PLASTINDIA 2026 exhibitions in New Delhi, Mr Paswan appreciated the plastics industry for its collective efforts towards sustainable manufacturing while contributing to national growth and self-reliance. On this occasion, the Minister released the Plastic Industry Status Report 2025.  He also presented awards to the winners of the Startup Search Initiative, developed by the Plastindia Foundation in collaboration with IIM Calcutta Innovation Park.
 
PLASTINDIA 2026 is one of the world’s leading plastics exhibitions, bringing together industry leaders, global buyers, innovators, and policymakers from India and abroad. The event being held at Bharat Mandapam in the national capital will culminate on the 10th of this month.
