Union Minister and BJP national president JP Nadda paid floral tribute to Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, marking his death anniversary. He also distributed plant saplings at the BJP headquarters in New Delhi. Speaking to media, Mr. Nadda said that Mr. Mukherjee possessed multifaceted talent. Thoughout his life, Mr. Mukherjee has been a patriot, an educationist and an advocate of social justice.

Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee died at age 51 years in Srinagar on 23 June 1953.
