Union Environment, Forest and Climate Change Minister Bhupender Yadav today participated in the Seva Pakhwada by leading a tree plantation drive under the Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam campaign in New Delhi. In a social media post, Mr Yadav requested citizens to plant a tree in the name of Mother Earth. He said that the tree planting programme was carried out as part of the Seva Pakhwada on the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday.
The Minister further said that the Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam 2.0 campaign not only conveys the message of environmental conservation but also demonstrates the government’s commitment towards it. The event was organised in the PBG Polo Ground, where Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta was also present.
