Union Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Government of India, Bhagirath Chaudhary, arrived Sikkim, today. Chaudhary is on a three-day official visit to Sikkim as part of the Poorvottar Sampark Setu programme to strengthen agricultural linkages and promote development initiatives in the North-Eastern region.

Tomorrow the MoS is scheduled to visit Sorengto participate in a review meeting.

On 25th, Union MoS is scheduled to attend the inauguration of the newly constructed buildings of the Horticulture Department at Central Agricultural University, Bermoik, Namchi district in South Sikkim.

The MoS will also inaugurate the Annual Zonal Workshop 2025 of ICAR-ATARI, Zone VI on the same day.
