Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary will dedicate seven trains to Bihar from Patna Junction today. Of them three are Amrit Bharat Express trains and four are passenger trains. For this launch, Mr Vaishnaw will join the program via video conferencing. Ministry of Railways, in a statement, said that these three Amrit Bharat Express trains will connect Muzaffarpur to Charlapalli, Darbhanga to Madar Junction and Chhapra to Anand Vihar Terminal.
The Amrit Bharat Express, which has gained a distinct identity as a popular train among the middle class and common people, currently operates 12 services across the country, of which 10 run from Bihar. With the launch of three more Amrit Bharat Express trains, the total number of Amrit Bharat trains will go up to 15. Also, the four new passenger trains connect key towns including Nawada, Islampur, Buxar, and Jhajha. According to the Ministry, with the launch of these three new trains, the state’s connectivity will further improve, which marks an important step towards realising the vision of Developed India through a Developed Bihar.
