Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw chairs review meeting with senior railway officials at Rail Bhawan

Union Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw today chaired a review meeting with senior railway officials at Rail Bhawan in New Delhi to improve passenger experience. During the meeting, Mr Vaishnaw assessed the progress in station access, passenger amenity upgrades, and security-related reinforcements. Deliberations also focused on measures like access control, crowd management, technology-driven surveillance, and ease of mobility within station premises. The Ministry of Railways said these reforms will first be implemented at New Delhi Railway Station and, based on the lessons learned, will subsequently be rolled out to other stations. Some of the reforms which will be implemented at New Delhi Railway Station include the inclusion of an AI-Powered Camera Network to Ensure Round-the-Clock Surveillance, Colour-Coded Uniforms and ID Cards for All Station Staff, a QR Code-Based Access Control System, and the integration of the Rail One app with Bharat Taxi.
