Union Home Minister Amit Shah will dedicate to the nation IFFCO’s Sulphuric Acid Plant in Odisha tomorrow. The Sulphuric Acid Plant (SAP-III) has been set up by Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Limited at its Paradip unit. The visit is aimed at giving further momentum to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of Sahkar se Samriddhi. Later, the Minister will inaugurate and launch several cooperative-sector initiatives at the IDCO Exhibition Ground in Bhubaneswar. These include the release of the State Cooperative Policy, signing of an MoU for setting up a school under Tribhuvan Cooperative University, and another MoU for the revival of Badamba Sugar Industries. He will also dedicate 1,567 Common Service Centres operated by Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS) and Large Area Multipurpose Societies (LAMPS).
The programme will also feature the virtual inauguration of need-based infrastructure for 141 PACS, the launch of the RCS Office Portal, the digital launch of the Direct-to-Consumer portal of National Cooperative Organics Limited, the launch of Coop Marque developed by National Cooperative Exports Limited, and the introduction of Savidya, an AI-enabled multilingual digital learning platform. Initiatives related to Odisha State Cooperative Milk Producers’ Federation will also be presented to strengthen the dairy sector. A total of 69 projects worth 1,159 crore rupees will be inaugurated, while foundation stones of 130 projects worth over 2,116 crore rupees will also be laid.
