Union Home Minister Amit Shah will attend the ‘Uttarakhand Nivesh Utsav’ today in Rudrapur, Udham Singh Nagar district. The event aims to showcase the state’s progress in industrial investment, which is now visibly taking shape on the ground. Following the Global Investors Summit held in Dehradun in December 2023, investment agreements worth over one lakh crore rupees have already been implemented. The ‘Nivesh Utsav’ is being organized to highlight these achievements and explore future investment opportunities.
Akashvani’s correspondent reports that Union Home Minister Amit Shah will be the chief guest at this historic event, which will be presided over by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. The event is being held at the Sports Stadium in Rudrapur, and will see participation from dignitaries and representatives of various new industries that have been established across the state.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami visited the venue yesterday to inspect preparations. He stated that during the 2023 Global Investors Summit, the state government received valuable suggestions from industrial groups and business organizations. Based on this feedback, the government introduced over 25 new policies and simplified several regulations, leading to major investment agreements being signed.
It may be recalled that during the December 2023 summit, a total of 1,779 MoUs were signed, with an estimated investment of over ₹3.5 lakh crore. Out of these, projects worth ₹1 lakh crore have already been grounded.
