Union Minister Amit Shah calls for Parivartan (change) in West Bengal

Senior BJP leader and Union Home Minister Amit Shah today called for Parivartan (change) in West Bengal. Shah joined a roadshow in Kolkata in support of Suvendu Adhikari, the party’s candidate for the Bhawanipur Assembly seat and in support of BJP candidates from Rashbehari, Ballygunge, and Chowranghee assembly constituencies. Addressing the gathering, Shah stated that the lives of the people of West Bengal have become nightmares due to corruption, a lack of security for women, infiltration, and subsequent demographic changes. He urged the people of Bengal to cast their votes fearlessly. Meanwhile, Suvendu Adhikari, the Leader of the Opposition in West Bengal, along with BJP candidates from Rashbehari, Ballygunge, and Chowranghee, filed their nominations today. The notification for the second phase of the Assembly election for 142 seats was published today. The deadline for filing nominations for this phase is April 9th, with polling scheduled for April 29th. The nomination filing procedure for the first phase of voting began on March 30th. The deadline for the first phase is April 6th, and a total of 152 assembly constituencies will go to the polls on April 23rd.
