Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will lay the foundation stone of the grand temple dedicated to Goddess Sita this afternoon at Punaura Dham in Sitamarhi district of Bihar.
The foundation stone laying ceremony and Bhoomi Pujan for the grand temple will take place amidst chanting of Vedic mantras. On this occasion, the Union Home Minister will also address a public gathering.
Mr. Shah will also flag off the Sitamarhi-New Delhi Amrit Bharat Express train via video conferencing from Sitamarhi. This will provide a direct rail link between New Delhi and Sitamarhi via several important places of Bihar.
For the management of the entire temple, a trust named Shri Janaki Janmabhoomi Punaura Dham Mandir Nyas Samiti has been constituted, like the Ayodhya temple trust. More than 159 feet tall grand temple is proposed at Punauradham.
Akashvani’s correspondent reports that, the temple and premises sprawling over 50 acres area will be completed with an estimated cost of 883 crore rupees .The new Janki Temple of Punauradham will be constructed on the line of Lord Ram Temple in Ayodhya. It will consist of a big mela ground, culture centre and parikrama path.
For the people of Mithilanchal it is like completion of their long-cherished dream. Punauradham has been added to the ambitious Ramayana Circuit and it is expected that after completion of the temple it will boost up tourism activities in the region.Dharmendra Kumar Rai Akashvani News Sitamarhi.
