Union Home Minister Amit Shah will arrive in Jaipur today on a day-long visit to Rajasthan. During his visit, he will inaugurate the state-level exhibition being organised to mark the completion of one year of implementation of the new criminal laws – the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam. The six-day exhibition, being held from 13th to 18th October in Jaipur, will highlight the major provisions of the new laws and showcase the progress made in their implementation across Rajasthan.
After inaugurating the exhibition, Mr Shah will address a public gathering. On this occasion, he will also participate in the ground-breaking ceremony of MoUs worth four lakh crore rupees received under the Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit 2024. In addition, he will inaugurate and lay foundation stones for various development projects worth over 9,300 crore rupees.
The Home Minister will also initiate the transfer of 260 crore rupees for uniforms to students and 364 crore rupees as milk subsidy to dairy producers. The programme will also mark the launch of registrations under the 150 units free electricity scheme, along with the flagging off of FSL vehicles and scooters and motorcycles for women’s safety patrolling.
