Union Home Minister Amit Shah to inaugurate projects, join Uttarayan festivities in Gujarat

Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah is on a three-day visit to Gujarat from today. During the visit, Mr Shah is scheduled to inaugurate several development projects and participate in the Uttarayan festivities across the state.

On the first day of his visit today, Mr. Shah will inaugurate a newly constructed Sports Complex at the Arts and Commerce College in Mansa in Gandhinagar. Later, he will perform the ground-breaking ceremony for the BSL-4 Biotechnology Research Centre under the State Science and Technology Department in Pethapur. In the afternoon, the Home Minister will lay the foundation stone for a Pharmaceutical Academy of Global Excellence at Sanathal in Ahmedabad. The day’s engagements will conclude in Anand, where he will attend the 15th Convocation of Charotar University and offer prayers at the Santram Temple.

Tomorrow, on the occasion of Uttarayan, Mr. Shah will begin his day by seeking blessings at the historic Shree Jagannath Temple in Ahmedabad. He will later join party workers and citizens at various locations within his constituency to celebrate the kite festival. On the final day of his tour, the Union Minister will attend a ceremony in Ahmedabad for the release of the ‘Adi Shankaracharya Samagra Granthavali’, published by the Sastu Sahitya Mudranalaya Trust.
