Union Home Minister Amit Shah arrives in Raipur on 2-day visit to Chhattisgarh

Union Home Minister Amit Shah today flagged off 400 Next Gen Dial 112 vehicles in Raipur. Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, State Assembly Speaker Raman Singh and Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma were also present on the occasion. So far, the Dial 112 service has been available in only 16 districts of Chhattisgarh. The state government has now expanded the service to all 33 districts. After the programme, Mr Shah left for Bastar, where he will inaugurate a public service centre set up at the Central Reserve Police Force camp premises in Netanar village.

The centre will help people living in remote areas access government and digital services easily. Later today, Mr Shah will reach Jagdalpur and pay tributes to martyrs at Amar Vatika. In the afternoon, he will interact with the family members of martyrs, security personnel, people affected by Naxal violence and representatives of various local communities at Badal Academy in Jagdalpur. In the evening, he will also attend the ‘Bastar Ke Sang’ folk cultural programme. The 26th meeting of the Central Zonal Council will be held in Jagdalpur tomorrow under the chairmanship of the Union Home Minister. Chief Ministers of Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand will attend the meeting.
