Vice President, PM, Home Minister & Other Leaders Pay Tribute To Freedom Fighter Loknayak Jayaprakash Narayan On His Birth Anniversary

Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan, Prime Minister Narendra Modi,  Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP President Jagat Prakash Nadda paid tribute to veteran leader Loknayak Jayaprakash Narayan on his birth anniversary.

 

In a social media post, the Vice President said that he was privileged to join the Sampoorna Kranti or total revolution led by Jayaprakash Narayan at the age of nineteen. He described Jayaprakash Narayan as a visionary leader committed to democratic values, civil liberties, and the empowerment of people. The Vice President said Narayan’s life will continue to inspire generations to work for social change through peaceful and democratic means.

 

The Prime Minister, in his message, also highlighted Jayaprakash Narayan’s role in empowering ordinary citizens and protecting the integrity of India’s Constitution. PM remembered him as one of India’s most fearless voices of conscience and a tireless champion for democracy and social justice. He also noted that the movements led by Jayaprakash Narayan in Gujarat and Bihar inspired a socio-political awakening across the country. 

 

Union Home Minister Amit Shah also paid tribute to freedom fighter Loknayak Jayaprakash Narayan on his birth anniversary today. In a social media post, Mr Shah said that Jayaprakash Narayan strengthened India’s democratic structure by upholding the ideals of equality, social harmony, and justice.

 

He also said that during the emergency, despite immense struggle and suffering, Jayaprakash Narayan protected democratic values and inspired the nation to rise against authoritarianism. The Home Minister added that the Total Revolution movement led by Jayaprakash Narayan was rooted in the spirit of people’s power and selfless service. Mr Shah also urged every social worker to remain vigilant throughout life against dictatorial tendencies. 

 

BJP President Jagat Prakash Nadda paid tribute to veteran leader Jayaprakash Narayan on his birth anniversary today, describing him as a great freedom fighter and a supreme devotee of democracy. In a social media post, Mr Nadda said, during the Emergency period, Jayaprakash Narayan awakened the nation’s democratic consciousness and played a crucial role in restoring democracy. He added that the ideals of Jayaprakash Narayan continue to inspire generations to uphold democratic values and work for national progress.
