Union Health Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda presided over AIIMS Bilaspur’s 3rd Foundation Day in Himachal Pradesh, lauding its rapid growth into a trusted healthcare centre. In just three years, the institute now offers MRI, PET-CT, cancer care, renal transplants, and nuclear medicine. Mr Nadda announced 127 new faculty posts and swift recruitments. A 500-bed Vishram Sadan, hostels, staff quarters, and an indoor stadium were also announced. He emphasised maintaining AIIMS’s brand through innovation and inter-AIIMS exchange programs. The Health Minister noted that India now has 808 medical colleges, with undergraduate seats rising to 1.25 lakh, set to grow further.
