Union Health Minister JP Nadda accuses state govts of not utilising funds for health infrastructure

Union Health Minister JP Nadda today accused the state governments of not utilising the funds by the central government for health infrastructure. Replying to Supplementaries during the question hours, in Lok Sabha the Minister stated that although the central government had been given 64,000 crore rupees for health infrastructure to, the various state governments but, they had only spent 30,000 crore rupees. He added that unfortunately, only 1.9 percent of GDP has been spent so far, despite the center’s decision to spend 2.5 percent of GDP in 2017.
