The Union Government has released over 444 crore rupees under the 15th Finance Commission Grants to Rural Local Bodies for Odisha. The Ministry of Panchayati Raj today informed that the second installment of Untied Grants, amounting over 342 crore rupees for 20 District Panchayats, 296 Block Panchayats, and 6 thousand Gram Panchayats  has been distributed.

Additionally, over 101 crores rupees, representing the withheld portion of the first installment of Untied Grants for Financial year of 2025-26, has been released to 20 Zilla Parishads, 233 Panchayat Samitis, and 649 Gram Panchayats. The Ministry of Finance subsequently releases these grants in two installment each financial year.
