Delhi Education Minister Ashish Sood today said that the Union Budget 2026-27 focuses on economic stability, fiscal prudence, sustainable development, and reduction in inflation. Briefing the media in New Delhi, Mr Sood said that the budget strengthens the resolve from Antyodaya to Sarvodaya. The minister said that over 12 thousand crore rupees have been allocated in this year’s budget to strengthen and modernise the Delhi Police. He further informed that infrastructure and capital expenditure have been allocated around 12 lakh 20 thousand crore rupees in this year, which is 11.4% more than the previous budget. The Minister said that this will help in the development of roads, bridges, flyovers, and railways.
Mr Sood also added that despite global challenges such as sanctions and tariffs, the Central Government has taken effective steps, including a Free Trade Agreement with the European Union, to strengthen the country’s economy.
