Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will attend the state-level Farmers’ Day program being held today in Gauchar, Chamoli district of Uttarakhand.
State Agriculture Minister Ganesh Joshi yesterday reviewed the arrangements at the venue. He said that to address farmers’ issues and increase awareness about government schemes, the state government has decided to observe “Farmers’ Day” on the second Thursday of every month. The initiative will be formally inaugurated today by the Union Agriculture Minister and the Chief Minister of the state.
