Russia said that its response to a failed Ukrainian drone attack on President Vladimir Putin’s state residence will not be diplomatic. Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria described the attempted attack as unprecedented, saying it occurred during negotiations in the United States. She added that it happened at a critical moment when plans were being discussed, undermining ongoing peace efforts.
Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that Kyiv carried out an overnight drone attack on the state residence of President Putin in the Novgorod Region. Lavrov also warned that targets for retaliatory strikes have been identified and the timing of their implementation by the Russian Armed Forces has been determined.
Meanwhile, Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha rejected Russia’s claims of an alleged attack on the residence of the Russian President. He accused Moscow of fabricating the incident and spreading disinformation. On the other hand, during a phone call with Putin, US President Donald Trump said that he was shocked by the attack.
