UAE Land Force Chief Begins Official Visit to India to Boost Military Ties

United Arab Emirates Land Force Commander, Maj Gen Yousef Maayouf Saeed Al Hallami, is on an official visit to India starting today. The Ministry of Defence said that the visit aims to strengthen bilateral military cooperation and explore new areas of collaboration, particularly in training, capability enhancement, and defence technology.
 
 
The Ministry informed that Mr Hallami was accorded a ceremonial welcome and received detailed briefings on Operation Sindoor, the Indian Army’s operational initiatives, and the Artificial Intelligence roadmap presented by the Directorate General of Information Systems and the Army Design Bureau. The presentations highlighted the country’s growing emphasis on technology-driven defence preparedness and innovation.
 
 
It added that the UAE Commander will lay a wreath at the National War Memorial in New Delhi tomorrow and visit the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) headquarters. Maj Gen Al Hallami will also engage with representatives of Indian defence industries to discuss avenues of mutual interest.
 
 
The visit marks an important milestone in India-UAE defence relations and reflects the deepening partnership between the two nations. It will further consolidate defence cooperation, promote joint initiatives, and contribute to regional peace and security through enhanced military engagement and technological collaboration.
