Trump Says Gaza Ceasefire Holding Amid Ongoing Strikes

US President Donald Trump says the ceasefire between the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas and Israel is holding, even as Israel continues its deadly strikes.

Trump’s comments came as Israel launched a new wave of air strikes across the Gaza Strip today, killing at least 15 civilians, including a journalist, after an explosion killed two Israeli soldiers near Rafah.

According to the Israeli military, the clashes began when Hamas fighters allegedly fired an anti-tank missile and opened gunfire on Israeli troops stationed in Rafah, resulting in the deaths of two soldiers.

Hamas had said it was committed to the ceasefire, but accused Israel of violations and warned the strikes could push the situation toward a total collapse of the ceasefire.

Meanwhile, Mr Trump’s advisor Jared Kushner and Special Envoy Steve Witkoff arrived in Israel today. They are expected to meet with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, while U.S. Vice President JD Vance is scheduled to join talks tomorrow.
