Trump removes US Attorney General Pam Bondi

President Donald Trump has removed Attorney General Pam Bondi, a longtime ally, from her post, saying she will be “transitioning” to a role in the private sector. Bondi’s tenure at the Justice Department was overshadowed by its handling of files related to Jeffrey Epstein. She is the second official ousted in recent weeks, after Kristi Noem in March. Bondi will be replaced by former deputy Todd Blanche.
