US President Donald Trump formally endorsed Indian-origin entrepreneur and former Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy for the Ohio state Governor’s race, praising his conservative record and leadership.

 

 

The endorsement came just hours after Ohio voters went to the polls to choose a new governor and other statewide officeholders for the 2026 elections. In a social media post, Trump wrote, Vivek Ramaswamy is running for Governor of the Great State of Ohio, a place he loves and won three times, in 2016, 2020, and 2024. He knows Vivek well and competed against him.
