State Election Commissioner Manoj Kumar this evening announced the schedule for elections to the 28 seats of the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC). Addressing a press conference at the Secretariat, the State Election Commissioner stated that polling for all 28 seats will be held on April 13.

 

According to the notified schedule, the election notification will be issued on March 18, marking the commencement of the nomination process. The last date for submission of nomination papers is March 25, while scrutiny will take place on March 26. The final date for withdrawal of candidature has been fixed for March 28.

 

Polling will be conducted from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM on April 13, and the counting of votes will take place on April 17. The State Election Commissioner further informed that the Model Code of Conduct has come into immediate effect in the ADC areas following the announcement of the election schedule. As per official data, the total number of voters in this year’s ADC elections stands at 962,697. Of these, 4,82,025 are male voters, 480,666 are female voters, and 6 belong to the third gender category.
