A three-month Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) training program is organised in Tripura’s Gomati district under the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) to enhance youth employability. The initiative, jointly conducted by the Directorate of Skill Development, Tripura and the Health & Family Welfare Department, aims to equip trainees with essential emergency medical skills.

Participants expressed that the programme will not only create skilled manpower but also strengthen healthcare services. Officials believe it will open new job opportunities in ambulance services and the health sector.
