Tripura govt signs MoUs worth Rs 3700 crore with 87 private investors

Tripura government has signed MoUs worth 3700 crore rupees with 87 private investors in education, healthcare, agriculture and IT sectors in the two-day Destination Tripura Business Conclave that concluded in Agartala today.

       

Some of the big private sector companies which have signed MoUs in the presence of Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, state industries minister Santana Chakma and senior state government and police officials are Godrej Agrovet Limited, Crane Global Solutions, GNRC Healthcare.

       

Chief Minister Saha while talking to reporters said that the state government has been trying its best to invite private sector companies from the country and abroad to invest in Tripura. He said, investors prefer locations where peace and tranquility prevail and Tripura government is making every effort to ensure companies get conducive atmosphere.  He said companies will face hassle-free process and those who want to setup their units in the state will receive NOCs within 30 days from the day of applying. The Chief Minister added that the state government is also providing power at subsidized rates to the industries.

       

The Chief Minister launched Incentive Calculator portal and Land Bank System. The land bank system will help companies to locate sites where the investors want to setup their industries.
