In Tripura, campaigning intensified in the Dharmanagar Assembly constituency today ahead of the by-poll on Thursday with political parties stepping up outreach despite heavy rain and storms. The BJP organised a bike rally in support of its candidate Jahar Chakraborty, with participation from party leaders and workers.

 

Meanwhile, opposition candidates, including Amitabha Datta of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) and Chayan Bhattacharya of the Indian National Congress, continued door-to-door campaigns to connect with voters.

 

Campaigning for the by-election will conclude on Tuesday as preparations gather pace for polling later this week.
