Tripura becomes 3rd fully literate state

In a major milestone, Tripura today carved its name by becoming a fully literate state,the third such in the country. The proclamation was made by Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha during a programme in Agartala. Saying that the day will be inscribed in golden letters in the history of Tripura, the Chief Minister said that there is no specific age or time for education. He emphasised that literacy is the key to the dream of a developed India by 2047, as envisioned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
During the event, top scorers from various districts in the Foundation Literacy and Numeracy Assessment Test were awarded. Additionally, in the exhibition held today, the North Tripura district was awarded the best for overall performance. Sepahijala, West Tripura, and Unakoti districts secured the first, second, and third positions.
