Tributes pour in following demise of Padma Vibhushan awardee Asha Bhosle

Tributes are pouring in following the passing of legendary singer and Padma Vibhushan awardee Asha Bhosle.
 
Maharashtra Governor Jishnu Dev Varma expressed condolences on her demise, noting that her melodious voice, her ability to sing different genres of music, and her vast and varied contributions to Indian music have left an indelible mark on generations of music lovers in India and across the world. He stated that her famous song ‘Jo Bhi Hai Bas Yehi Ek Pal Hai’ had become the philosophy of her life.
 
Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis condoled the demise of Asha Bhosle, terming her voice the soul of music. Underscoring her versatile style of music, he recalled an event where Asha Bhosle made him sing one of her most famous songs, ‘Abhi Na Jao Chhod Kar’.
 
Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, in a post on ‘X’, noted Asha Bhosle’s exceptional talent and said that she carved out a distinct identity for herself on the musical horizon while expressing grief over her passing.
 
Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde expressed grief over Asha Bhosle’s passing and asserted that her music will be with us forever, as it is immortal.
 
Deputy Chief Minister Sunetra Pawar termed the death of Asha Bhosle the end of a golden era in the musical world.
 
Maharashtra Minister of Cultural Affairs Ashish Shelar, BJP state chief Ravindra Chavan, and NCP(SP) supremo Sharad Pawar, among others, have expressed grief over the passing of the legendary Asha Bhosle.
 
Personalities from the film and music world, including Hema Malini, Urmila Matondkar, A. R. Rahman, Shankar Mahadevan, Akshay Kumar, Ronu Majumdar, and others, are also expressing grief over her demise.
