Tribal folk artists participate in Aadi Parab festival, Raipur

A two-day Aadi Parab festival began in Raipur yesterday. Tribal folk artists from Chhattisgarh, Telangana, Odisha, Maharashtra, and Jharkhand are participating in the event. Youths dressed in attractive traditional tribal attire walked the ramp, showcasing tribal culture and heritage. The theme of this year’s Aadi Parab is “From Tradition to Identity.

The event is being organised with the objective of providing a national platform to the rich tribal culture, art, and traditions of Chhattisgarh. The festival also features exhibitions displaying the traditional cuisine, costumes, and various artworks of tribal communities. In addition, ‘Aadi Rang – Tribal Painting Festival’ is being organised. Similarly, the ‘Aadi Haat Tribal Craft Fair’ has been set up, where tribal handicrafts, forest produce, and traditional products from Chhattisgarh are being showcased.
