The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) conducted Independent Drive Tests to assess mobile network quality in East Uttar Pradesh licensed service area, during December last year. The Ministry of Communications said in a statement that the tests covered city routes across Azamgarh and Mau cities and walk test areas, evaluating 2G, 3G, 4G and 5G services across key voice and data parameters. The findings have been shared with the concerned telecom service providers for necessary action.
The Ministry informed that in the Jammu and Kashmir Licensed Service Area, assessment was done across Katra and Udhampur cities, the highway route between the two towns and the railway route from New Delhi to Katra. Highlighting the drive tests conducted in December last year, the assessment covered urban areas, hotspots, highways and high-speed rail corridors, evaluating voice and data services across multiple technologies. TRAI also released Independent Drive Test findings for the Delhi Licensed Service Area. The assessment focused on real-world user experience across 2G, 3G, 4G and 5G networks.
