An outreach programme to educate and sensitise consumers about their problems was held today in Tripura by the Kolkata Regional Office of the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) at Hapaniya Women’s Polytechnic College. The programme was organised as part of TRAI’s 29th anniversary celebration.

 

Special Secretary of the Food and Consumer Affairs Department, Debapriya Bardhan, was present as the chief guest. Professor of Tripura Institute of Technology (TIT), Advisor and Senior Research Officer of TRAI were also present on the occasion.

 

They discussed various issues like the use of internet technology and combating cybercrime. A large number of college students attended today’s outreach programme. A special PowerPoint presentation was shown by the organising department.
