Tornado Hits Brazil’s Parana State, Leaving Six Dead and Hundreds Injured

A tornado accompanied by strong winds and heavy rain struck the southern Brazilian state of Parana, killing six people. As per authorities, over 437 people were treated for injuries, and about 1,000 were displaced. According to the Parana Meteorology and Environmental Monitoring System, the tornado’s winds reached speeds between 180 kph and 250 kph. While expressing condolences to the victims’ families, President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva wrote in a social media post that all the help and assistance provided to the people of Parana.
