The third Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference commenced at AURO University in Surat today. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, Union Ministers Hardeep Singh Puri and CR Patil were present on the occasion.
Addressing the gathering, Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Hardeep Singh Puri noted that India has emerged as the world’s fifth-largest exporter of processed crude. He said that, after the energy crisis, the country has not only diversified it’s energy supply but is also successfully producing 60 per cent of LPG within the country.
He emphasised that despite global supply chain disruptions and escalating freight costs, the government maintained stable retail energy prices, reflecting its commitment to the common citizen. The Minister further highlighted Gujarat’s dominance in the energy sector, noting that the state processes 40 per cent of the nation’s crude and produces 60 per cent of its LPG.
