The Directorate of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution, Government of Manipur, said that there is no shortage of LPG or other petroleum products in Manipur, and sufficient stock is available. The Directorate, through a press release, said that certain social media users and propagandists are spreading misinformation about an alleged shortage or possible shortage of LPG and other petroleum products in the State, and such claims are misleading consumers and the general public. It further said that the Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) Imphal has confirmed that there is adequate stock of LPG and petroleum products (POL) in Manipur. Therefore, the Directorate urges all consumers not to panic or engage in unnecessary hoarding of LPG and other petroleum products, as such actions may lead to accidents and safety hazards.
