In Tennis, the prestigious French Open, also known as Roland-Garros, begins today in Paris, France. Veteran tennis player Rohan Bopanna, along with Yuki Bhambri, N. Sriram Balaji, and Rithvik Choudary Bollipalli will represent the Indian contingent in the Men’s Doubles events.
Bopanna will team up with Adam Pavlásek of Czechia to face the American duo of Robert Cash and James Tracy in the first round today. Bhambri, partnering with Robert Galloway of the United States, will take on Robin Haase of the Netherlands and Hendrik Jebens of Germany.
Balaji and his Mexican partner, Miguel Ángel Reyes-Varela, will play against Camilo Ugo Carabelli of Argentina and Yunchaokete Bu of China. Meanwhile, Bollipalli and Nicolás Barrientos of Colombia will go up against Gabriel Diallo of Canada and Jacob Fearnley of the United Kingdom in their opening match today.
