Telangana celebrated the 79th Independence Day with patriotic fervor and gaiety. Addressing the people of the state, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy reiterated his commitment to ensure that Telangana plays a key role in the transformation of the country in the coming years. He said a vision document called Telangana Raising -2047 will be released during the coming December aimed at transforming the State into a one trillion-dollar economy by 2035 and a three trillion-dollar economy by 2047. He said it is not only a plan but a resolve to make Telangana proud on the world platform. He exuded confidence that the vision will unveil the determination to transform Hyderabad city, which was being affected by floods, into a clean city.
Mr Reddy reiterated commitment to get the states due share in the Krishna and Godavari Rivers. He explained the progress made so far in issuance of ration cards and Indiramma houses to the poor.
The tricolour has been hoisted at all district headquarters across the state.
