The Telangana Government has introduced a new Centralized Procurement Policy to improve accountability in educational material distribution. Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has set June 15 as the deadline to supply all necessary educational items to students across the state. In a review meeting, the Chief Minister emphasized that students perform better when they receive uniforms, notebooks, and other educational materials on time. He pointed out that the old system had many problems.
The officials have been strictly warned that quality materials must be supplied without any compromise. To ensure proper distribution, the government will appoint Nodal officers at the Mandal level. Officials must verify that every student receives complete materials and gather feedback about quality. The government has also decided to form a coordination committee involving the SC, ST, BC, Minority, and Education departments to work together.
