Telangana Disaster Management Minister, Ponnam Prabhakar, has announced the constitution of a six-member high-level committee to conduct a comprehensive investigation into the fire accident at Gulzar House in Hyderabad last Sunday. The committee has been tasked with assessing the causes of the fire, the response of various departments, and offering recommendations to prevent such incidents in future. The committee comprises GHMC Commissioner R V Karnan, Hyderabad Collector Anudeep Durishetty, Hyderabad Police Commissioner CV Anand, the Director General of Fire Services, Nagi Reddy, HYDRAA Commissioner Ranganath and Telangana State Southern Power Distribution Company Limited Chairman and Managing Director Musharraf Faruqi. The Minister said the committee will carry out a ground-level inquiry into the circumstances leading to the fire and submit a detailed report to the Chief Minister.
