Telangana Governor Inaugurates Second Phase of Telangana–North East Connect Festival

 
Telangana Governor Jishnu Dev Varma inaugurated the Second Phase of the Telangana-North East Connect, a Techno-Cultural Festival at Raj Bhavan in Hyderabad last evening.  Speaking on the occasion, the Governor said the Telangana-North East Connect represents not just a cultural exchange, but a meaningful contribution to the larger national vision of Viksit Bharat. The Governor observed that the North East today symbolizes development, energy and confidence, while Telangana can play an enabling role in supporting and sharing its progress. The Governor also said institutions in Telangana like T-Hub and WE-Hub, can foster start-ups, generate jobs, and build entrepreneurial ecosystems that benefit young people across both the regions. The governor said the Telangana-North East Connect celebrates the growing partnership between Telangana and the eight North Eastern states by promoting collaboration in culture, technology, innovation, and human development. 
 
 
Earlier, State IT and industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu said Telangana is ready to play an active role in the emerging growth trajectory of India’s North-Eastern States. He said the State government is preparing a comprehensive roadmap for strategic collaboration with the North-East across sectors like digital connectivity, technology adoption, entrepreneurship, skill development, life sciences, bio-innovation, and rural transformation. Stating that Telangana state has consistently welcomed people from across the country, he said this inclusive spirit guides its partnerships as well. He also noted that the North-Eastern States have shown notable progress in digital literacy, IT skilling, fintech, and public digital services, despite infrastructure and connectivity challenges.
