In Telangana, 5 people were electrocuted last evening at Ramanthapur in Medchal Malkajgiri district at the end of the Srikrishna Shobha Yatra held on the occasion of Janmashtami. Four others sustained injuries and have been admitted to the local hospital. The affected people were trying to push the celestial cart at the end of the Yatra, when it was stopped and the electricity wires above the carts were cut. Police informed that all the deceased are between 20-45 years of age. The police have booked a case in connection with the incident.
