The Telangana State government has established Telangana Artificial Intelligence Innovation Hub (TAIH) as part of the State’s emphasis on facilitating measures to make the most of the growth opportunities in the emerging technology.
IT and Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu announced the setting up of the hub in Hyderabad and said the primary goal behind setting up TAIH is to ensure finding a place for the state in the top 20 AI hubs in the world by 2035. The hub will serve as a focal point for AI-based innovation, research and collaboration across multiple sectors. He said the State government is keen on developing Telangana as a destination for AI research and innovation, and the future belongs entirely to Artificial Intelligence. He further said the government is building a comprehensive AI ecosystem that will make Telangana the first name that comes to mind when people think of AI in India.
The minister also said the government has forged strategic partnerships with premier academic and research institutions like IIIT, BITS Pilani, ISB, NALSAR, IIT Hyderabad, and C-DAC, alongside global technology leaders including Google, Microsoft, Infosys, and Amazon.
