The Telangana BJP state unit has announced plans to celebrate Independence Day with ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ and ‘Tiranga Yatra’, to foster national pride and unite citizens in commemorating India’s freedom struggle. BJP State President N. Ramchander Rao said the party was preparing for events in Hyderabad and across the state, encouraging every household to hoist the Tricolour by August 15, marking the sixth year of the campaign.

The party proposed Tiranga rallies in all mandals, culminating just before Independence Day and flag hoisting in about 14 lakh homes. He informed that a rally in Hyderabad, featuring around 15 thousand students will be organised on August 14. He also said the party will observe Partition Wounds Remembrance Day and will hold exhibitions and hall meetings on August 14. Rao said the Tiranga Yatra was aimed at educating future generations on the sacrifices made during the freedom movement. He appealed to people of all political parties, castes and regions to join the Tiranga Yatra and Har Ghar Tiranga campaigns.
