Team India departs for ICC Champions Trophy in Dubai

The Indian cricket team, led by Rohit Sharma, departed for Dubai today for the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy.

Rohit, along with head coach Gautam Gambhir, vice-captain Shubman Gill, and star batter Virat Kohli, joined the squad at Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, where fans gathered to cheer the team on.

India will begin its campaign against Bangladesh on February 20th, followed by high-profile matches against Pakistan on February 23rd and New Zealand on March 2nd.

With Jasprit Bumrah sidelined due to injury, young pacers Arshdeep Singh and Harshit Rana have an opportunity to shine, while spinner Varun Chakravarthy hopes to make an impact.

Veterans Rohit and Kohli will be under the spotlight. Kohli is 37 runs away from reaching 14 thousand ODI runs, and Rohit needs 12 runs to join the elite 11 thousand-run club.
