In Badminton, India’s Tanvi Sharma booked her place in the girls’ singles final at the BWF World Junior Championships 2025 in Guwahati today.
With a comfortable win against China’s Liu Si Ya 15-11, 15-9 in the semi-finals at the National Centre of Excellence, Tanvi became only the fifth Indian badminton player to reach a World Junior final.
16-year-old Tanvi joined an elite group that includes women’s shuttlers Aparna Popat (1996), Saina Nehwal (2006, 2008) and men’s players Siril Verma (2015) and Sankar Muthusamy (2022).
