Three students were killed and five students were injured this morning when a school van was hit by the Villupuram-Mayiladuthurai passenger train between Cuddalore and Alapakkam in Tamil Nadu.
Southern Railways expressed deep regret for the loss of lives and injuries. An inquiry has been ordered into the incident. The railway doctors are also monitoring the injured admitted to the JIPMER Hospital in Puducherry.
