The Supreme Court today set aside the conviction of Surendra Koli in the last pending case related to the Nithari killings. A bench led by Chief Justice B.R. Gavai allowed Koli’s curative petition, noting that he had already been acquitted in twelve other similar cases. SC sentences former Lok Sabha MP from Bihar Prabhunath Singh to life imprisonment in 1995 double murder case

The Supreme Court has sentenced Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader and four-time MP from Biharf to life imprisonment in the 1995 double murder case. The Apex Court also ordered paying compensation of 10 lakh rupees to the victims. The Supreme Court had convicted Prabhunath Singh in the double murder case on the 18th of August.
