India, Sweden Discuss Green Steel Collaboration; Invite Extended for Bharat Steel 2026

Minister of State for Steel, Bhupathiraju Srinivas Varma today held a meeting with the Sweden's State Secretary to Minister for Energy, Business and Industry, Sara Modig and other Swedish officials in New Delhi. At the meeting, the minister said that India’s domestic steel demand is growing fast, by about 11 to 13 percent, fuelled by large-scale infrastructure projects.
