Assam government receives 149 suggestions on proposed Bill on banning polygamy in State

The Assam government has received 149 suggestions on the proposed Bill on banning polygamy in the State. Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, in a social media post, informed that 146 suggestions are in favour of the Bill while three organisations opposed the proposed bill. He said that the final drafting of the Bill would be completed in the next 45 days.
